...The amount of games Jim Powell will call for the Atlanta Braves radio broadcasts are being reduced. Joe Simpson and Ben Ingram will be the primary broadcast team, with Powell sitting in with Simpson or Ingram on select games, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Powell’s first broadcast will be April 12, with the exact number of games he will be involved with “still to be determined,” spokesperson Beth Marshal said. Powell is in his 13th season as a Braves radio broadcaster. Prior to that, he was part of the Milwaukee Brewers’ broadcast team for 13 seasons. Braves games are heard in the market on Dickey Broadcasting sports WCNN (680) and Cumulus Media rock WNNX (100.5).
...The Radio America-syndicated “The Dana Show” has picked up a number of new affiliates. The program will replace the Premiere Networks-syndicated “Rush Limbaugh Show” on MBM Radio KURV McAllen-Brownsville, TX (710); Frontier Media talk KJNO Juneau, AK (630); and High Plains Radio Network talk KJMT-FM Little Rock, AR (97.1). The program has also been added to American General Media talk KERN Bakersfield, CA (1180); and a a pair of Steckline Communications talkers: KYUL/KIUL Wichita, KS (1310/1240) and KGYN in Guymon, OK (1210).
...Good Parts Media, an AdLarge company, enters into a deal with Bonneville country KYGO Denver (98.5), which will use Prep Country service. “Our morning show was looking for customizable show content that was relevant, entertaining, and most importantly quick and simple to use at a moment’s notice during the show,” Program Director Brian Michel said in a release. “We were especially impressed with the country format branded content and sharing information with our audience that hasn’t quite made it to the mainstream press yet.”
...The HRN Media Network-syndicated weekend program “Tejano Nation” picks up three new affiliates: Hubbard regional Mexican “La Mera Mera 1050” WBQH Washington, DC; Crocodile Broadcasting Spanish “Tropical 105.7” KGLA New Orleans; and Grupo Radio Centro Spanish CHR KAMA Houston (750).
